So peeling back the curtain on the charmed life…let’s rock.
ONE WORD: xanax.
Confession: Last night I took one for the first time in ages. I decided it was time to let my body shut down I wanted to make sure it had some help. I was on the phone with a friend too.
Ill never forget how psychotropics flowed like water at the schools I attended–and I wouldn’t be writing about this if they weren’t still prevalent. [Read more →]
Hey new yorkers,
Having the best breakfast ever in midtown. I’ve missed this place. Rock center club has the best breakfast buffet in nyc, hands down. But when I used to come here ever am back in my nbc days, well, confession: I was sort of ano (and I was running several times a week…).
Now I’m in a good place where I know i can indulge in the right things because I’m back (well as of in the past 2 wks) on a good workout/running regimen. This is the first (albeit tiny) pancake I’ve had in 4 months! Exercise is as or more integral to health. Eating well is only part of it. Honestly. Mental/spiritual/phys health that I get from running in the park cannot be overstated.
I’m so excited to bring you this video of my journey to Brooklyn. Last night, Food & Wine invited me out to the Clover Club with a group of several other journalists for a ‘Cocktail Clinic’ and not only did I have a great time and learn a lot about trends in high quality cocktail ingredients, but I sort of lost my Brooklyn Bridge Virginity. i mean seriously. And there’s even a video…
You’ll NEVER EVER guess where I’m going tonight! BROOOOOKLYN! Food & Wine has invited me to the Clover Club for a Cocktail Clinic (yeah i know…)! Confession: I’ve NEVER been to Brooklyn
Hey new yorkers,
Back at dermatologist (follow up)…and this place is all mine! I was able to get an appt no problem. This clientele wouldn’t be caught dead in manhattan this time of year. Ha.
How’s the day? I’m heading out to run the reservoir in Central Park (i hate the gym so I’m taking back the park!) and then some, and essentially wondering if there are any new yorkers left on the island. Also wanted to take the opportunity to talk to you about the tourists I’ll likely ‘run’ into: perhaps a discussion about walking/sauntering etiquette? Finally, anyone have any thoughts on reservoir jogging t-shirt culture? I think the private school t-shirt parade is hilarious…
Got your checkbook handy? It’s Junior CouncilSeason! Like a lot of kids, I joined a bunch of these organizations after coming home to NY from college, hoping to meet new people and reconnect with old friends.
Is dialing 911 something people are afraid to do late at night in my world? Not necessarily. On Saturday night, I was with some friends–lawyers and bankers mostly–who barely thought twice about it. But my summer in the Hamptons hasn’t always seen that kind of behavior…
